Google's Christmas Party

Google sure knows how to party.

Where else to hold their Christmas Party then renting an old Navy Ship!

Oh my it was so much fun.

They had great food, delicious desserts, fun games, interesting tours of the ship, and a 

1940's WW2 theme going on.

I think we ate way too much, but decided we needed to try it all, and go back for seconds
and thirds on the best things. 

(which probably were these tasty little doughnuts you'll see below.)

 I am so grateful for Jordan's job at Google!

They have been so great to us and are always doing such fun things,

and helping us love it out here just a little bit more!

Another job well done Google.

a regular day @ google

Let me tell you what can happen on a "normal" day at work for Jordan.

He wakes up, goes to work.

Works for a few hours, then who shows up?

Dane Cook.

Dane Cook talks to them for a little bit, tells some jokes, 

you know, regular stuff you'd see at work. . . .

Then Jordan has lunch. 

Whatever he may feel like that day.

Pizza, sandwich, fries, burger, burrito, sliced steak, Chinese,

or, maybe he will try a little bit of it all.

They work some more and around 5, his team takes a shuttle down to San Francisco for a boat ride around the bay.

He then later mentions to me 

that next week he will be going horse back riding, so he will be home late. . . 

{Of coarse they are going horse back riding, why wouldn't they?!}

Thursday after Jordan was done with work I got to go on a mini tour of his office.

On the tour of his building, which is a very small part of the entire "campus".

In his building alone we passed  some pingpong, a massage room, many treat stations, and much more!

(Jordan's only request was i don't take any pictures when people were around, so this time, pictures were limited. . . . 

Maybe next visit I will be braver to take more pictures!)

 Then we headed to the main building for dinner.

Just think all you can eat, free, delicious food!

(Just one of the many benefits Jordan has for working here!)

I think I will be back!

(Then next time my husband invites me to come, of coarse!)

After working 5 years at America First, I am officially done.

Status: Employed

Yes, we are now EMPLOYED!

Sometimes, things don't work out as planned.

But....

Somtimes they do!

And I LOVE it when they do!

It took longer than we would have liked, but we both ended up getting the jobs we'd planned and hoped for!

Jordan..........

No more call centers! Yeah!

And for me......

4 1/2 years at this place just wasn't enough!

And I really think I am going to like it here at my new branch!

Best of all, Jordan and I work about 2 minutes away from eachother!

That means,

Lunch dates, and visits at work from my one and only!

(I must admit though, I did enjoy life of the unemployeed, I just didn't enjoy the pay)

Just Breathe

Why does school seem to make my life feel so chaotic?

.....yes, it's only been a week.

It puts me on the edge of breakdown almost every night.

Anxiety? Check.

And I don't even have a job yet!

15 credits of school, plus 30 hours of work?

Again, pray for my husband, this may be tragic.

.......and no, I am not being dramatic!

First Day of Work.....

Today was my first day of work.... Sigh...

I will be working for the Department of Transportation here in Atlanta!

40 hours a week, 4-5 days a week!

And I get my own cubical!

I've never had a cubical before, I was pretty thrilled about that aspect of it!

The people I work with seem very nice too.

I went to lunch with three of them today, to

FAT MATTS.

Pretty dang good!

And it's back to real life.......
