Weekend Recap.

I am so happy to have some friends around here these days!

Our friends the Jewkes were in town from Santa Monica this weekend,

and also Jordan's BFF Dallin and his wife Kayla moved here from San Diego.

On Friday we all met up for dinner in San Francisco.

Can I tell you, San Francisco is one interesting city.

While we were down there, there was some kind of bicycle event going on,

and lots of these bicyclists were nude.

Men, women, fully nude, and fully disgusting.

But dinner was great. 

We went to Sodini's, and it was really tasty.

Jordan's friends all married the prettiest and nicest girls.

They lucked out.

On Saturday we spent the day at the pool, and enjoyed the perfect weather.

 Then met up with the Pitcher's later that night for a movie and dinner.

I love the Pitchers, and think they are one of the cutest couples I know.

And their baby Capri is so sweet! 

I've always told Jordan I didn't need friends,  because I 

have always had my family around to hang out with.

But I am so grateful to have friends out here now, and I hope none of them move away!

Summertime Movies.

One of the many things I love about summer is all of the good movies that come out!

We could spend all of our money going to movies and out to eat.

Not that adventurous of us, but that is what we love.

 (Maybe it is only March, but I am pretending it is summertime already.)

For all of you who saw Hungar Games this last weekend, I hope you loved it as much as me.

I loved reading the books with Jordan, and wish I were still reading the books, 

for all the fun we had reading them!

And as for The Lucky One soon coming out, I think Zac Efron is looking as good as ever!

The Muppet Movie

We went and saw the Muppet Movie on Thanksgiving.

I loved it.

I thought is was cute, funny, and really quite clever!

My only regret was not getting popcorn.
I love going to movies, we seem to go to a lot around here.

This weekend I think we are going to see Arthur Christmas. . . . 

I heard it was pretty good. {we'll see}

On a semi-unrelated note,

did any of you watch Fraggle Rock growing up?

Nobody I talk to seem to know what in the world I am talking about when I bring up  
Fraggle Rock.

It is only the coolest show that ever existed.

Plus, the Fraggle's and Muppet's were friends, which validates their coolness.

The Hungar Games

I will admit I haven't been a real fan of other "book" movies.

And by "book" movies, I am referring to Harry Potter and Twilight.

Maybe it's because I didn't read the books, therefore the movies weren't my thing.

But I mentioned before that Jordan and I read the Hungar Games books.

We read all three of them together, out loud.

I loved this activity together, and maybe that is why I loved the books so much.

Lots of my daily thoughts were centered around the Hungar Games.

I would find myself replaying the book over and over in my mind, and couldn't wait for Jordan to get home so we could read more chapters.

And my dreams were similar to when we were watching Prison Break, a bit crazy!

There are two people I tell Jordan I miss sense finishing their series.

Peeta (Hungar Games) and Schofield (Prison Break).



 I am real excited for this movie to come out.

I think it is going to be a good one.

If anyone has any suggestions on a good book Jordan and I could read together, 

I'd like some recommendations. . . . . 

seems we have a long drive ahead of us this weekend.

Half Moon Bay

When we first moved here, a girl from our ward at church was telling me 

some fun things to do around here.

She mentioned during October in Half Moon Bay there is a fun pumpkin festival.

I have been waiting to go ever since.

It was this weekend, so we drove up to Half Moon Bay for the 

Pumpkin and Arts Festival.

I did some reading on it, and everyone said it was great, their only complaint was the traffic.

What should have taken us 30 minutes to get there,

took us two and a half hours.

Yikes.

But we did make it, 2 hours before it ended.

It was fun.

Very VERY crowded.

You actually could barely move!

Looks like all the Bay area was in attendance on Saturday.

There were booths lining the streets, Radio Disney singing contest, pumpkin carving, 

live bands, magicians, and jugglers.

We made our way to the food booths.

We got our garlic fries, my corn on the cob, a place to sit, and I was a happy girl!

We decided against stopping at a pumpkin patch on the way home

in order to make it to "Footloose".

Pumpkin Festival, Footloose, Chipotle . . . . 

It was a weekend of my choice.

As a side note, I also saw 

Dolphin Tale this week.

I enjoyed Footloose and Dolphin Tale 

for those wondering.

Both receive a +1 from me.

Warrior

We saw this movie.

It was pretty darn good, I'd recommend it.

I even scram a few times during the movie I was so nervous.

See it.

*(caution: the previews before the 

movie, creepy.  I scram a few times

during them as well, so maybe

you'll need to close your eyes during those.)

We had a wonderful weekend, I hope you did too.

FYI, we also saw a movie this weekend.

I didn't like it.

Actually, it is safe to say maybe I hated it.

(harsh, I know)

One Day.

Maybe we aren't artistic enough to appreciate it or something,

but it was dreary, gloomy, and a little depressing.

 But on a good note, the popcorn I had there sure was delicious! 

Save your money with the movie though, 

or go see The Help, which I saw last week and quite enjoyed.

Ryan Gosling

Who'd have thought he'd turn out to be quite the hunk!

I personally liked the movie,
Crazy Stupid Love.
I am not recommending it, some parts may be inappropriate,
but at one point I was laughing so hard I was crying!

Movies rarely do that to me.
Ryan Gosling + Steve Carell = a good combination.

Silly Old Bear.

As the reviews said, Winnie the Pooh will bring you back to your childhood.

I really loved it.

I laughed multiple times, and found it to be a good, innocent, fun filled movie.

Please see it.

And then you will see this trailer.

I cried while telling Jordan about it.

Mid Week Movie

I go to movies by myself.

I actually really enjoy it.

I love going to matinee's, especially during the middle of the week.

First off, instead of the movie being $11, it was $6.

There is usually only a handful of people in the theater, meaning,

the entire row, one in front of you, and one behind you to yourself. ***

Then, you get your popcorn, drink, and treats to yourself, and don't have to worry

if your husband is finding the movie super lame and a waste of money.

(Which in this case he would have.  Monte Carlo.  While the movie was just my 

type, he would have hated it.)

So while I prefer the company of Jordan at a movie, 

going alone isn't so bad either! 

*** There were maybe 10, 15 people in this movie max, and as I mentioned, the movie was MONTE CARLO.  

So when a older man, lets say. . . .in his 40's walks in, alone, with his popcorn, drink, and a hat, 

and sits himself maybe 4 seats to the left of me, when there is clearly an entire theater, 

I give myself permission to get up and move three rows back.  Maybe I watch too much Criminal Mind with Jordan,

but get real guy, the only other people here range in ages 5-14 plus their mothers (and me). . . . 

While I may have too been seeing the movie alone, I am far from creepy.

You sir on the other hand,  do not have permission to see this movie mid-day, and alone! 

So unless you have your 12 year old daughter with you, go creep somewhere else!

Movies

Two new movies are coming out that I can not WAIT to see!

I think this looks adorable, and Jordan has promised we could go see it.

Second, Monte Carlo.

Looks like something I would just love!

Although this one will be an event for while Jordan is at work. . . . .

Yeah for summer and good movies!

Pirates.

At Midnight Thursday night, (Friday morning),

Pirates of the Caribbean 4 came out.

My little brother Ryan just may be the biggest fan,

and planned this fun event for us to go to!

He/we had been looking forward to it for months!

I surprisingly was able to stay awake!

From the words of Ryan, there were a couple "cowards" next to him

that didn't make it through. . . . .
