Day three in Rio was my favorite. It was the first day Jordan wouldn't have to work, and we got to go see all the sights of the city. I am glad Jordan had been there before, so he knew exactly where to go, and what to see.
We first went to the Cristo Redentor statue. So pretty, you can see the entire city from the Statue.
Here Jordan is pointing to a soccer stadium where the world cup will be held in two years.
(He's thrilled about it, and is dying to go.)
After we were done there we went to Pao de Acucar (Sugar Loaf Mountain).
At Sugar Loaf, cable cars take you from one mountain to another. I told Jordan I couldn't believe we were trusting these cables to carry us to one of the highest points in the city.
I loved this first picture, and loved how you could see the ocean, mountains, and city all together it was my favorite spot.
We stopped on the first mountain and got a snack. Pao de Queijo, fresh fruit, and a drink.
Pao de Queijo (cheese bread) became my favorite thing to eat in Brazil.
My guess is it wasn't the healthiest thing for you, and I probably gained most weight on that, but it was worth it.
After we were done there we went and got some Acai and lunch, and headed to the beach for the rest of the afternoon before going out for dinner.
For dinner, another Italian Restaurant, yum.
And that was our last day in Rio. I loved it here. I love the beaches, and how the locals come around selling you things. I loved the hotel, I loved the food, and I loved touring the city with Jordan and Danny.
The next morning we went to the airport, and left for Curitiba, the next city in our Brazil tour.
