Rio: Day Two

Day two in Rio, and I woke up to this.
I don't think I have ever burnt like this in my life.  My doctor said with being pregnant my skin would be sensitive to the sun.  I was not prepared for this.   A burnt belly is not the most fun.  Luckily by day 3 the redness was mostly gone.
Jordan was working all day again on my second day here.
This day the weather was a bit overcast.  It was still warm, just no sun.
The day before, Jordan and I had made a list of a few words I may need to know while I was out
by myself.  Mainly food words so I'd be able to get some lunch.
I opted for lunch up at the pool with the English/Portugese menu instead of confusing myself and others with my Portugese.  The pool was wonderful, and view pretty.
I asked the front desk downstairs if I was safe to walk to the shops and mall alone.
They were so kind, and let me know we were in the safest part of Rio and not to worry, so that is where I spent my afternoon.
 Ice cream in Brazil, delicious.
(Tangerina, I figured it was a safe choice)
That night we went to dinner at a tasty Italian Restaurant.
We were told that Italian food in Brazil is like Mexican food in the US.  There are lots of Italian Restaurants, and lots of real good ones.  (A lot of Europeans live in Brazil I am told.)

It was a fun day, but day three in Rio was for sure my *favorite day there. (*favorite day in Rio.)

I can't wait to show you how pretty it was!

  3. I admire that you didn't stay locked in your room all day from fear of getting out and exploring a new place. You go girl!
