Our last two nights in Florianopolis we spent in the center of the city.
While we woke up to a wet rainy morning. We crossed our fingers then lucked out for a nice rest of our day, and found a taxi driver to take us around for the afternoon.
Sand boarding at Joaquina + Joaquina Beach.
Mole Beach
Costa da Lagoa
Chocolate and Banana Pastel
Dinner at Guacamole's.
And a snack.
After what may have been food poisoning (Jordan, not me), a canceled 5:30 am flight, a broken down bus and a change of bus totaling a 4 hour ride to Curitiba, 10 hour wait at the airport, following 18 hours on a plane, we made it home on Sunday afternoon.
Our trip to Brazil was a wonderful one. I truly hope one day I can go back with Jordan. I am so grateful I was able to experience the culture that is part of Jordan's everyday life, as well as one of the most important parts of his life serving his church mission there.
I loved Brazil, and dream of going back every day.
Looks so fun! I want to try out sand boarding! That is so neat that you got to visit Brazil. Matt wanted to plan a trip for us back to his mission, but after some research, he learned that it is the most dangerous place in the world! Maybe we'll just have to visit Brazil with you!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures and what an amazing trip! So glad you guys got to do this together!
